19 of the Russian's twenty-one titles have been earned on hard courts
A revitalized Medvedev claimed his first title for over two years with victory over opponent Moutet in the competition championship match.
Medvedev, a former world number one, has endured a torrid season, managing just one match at the major tournaments and experiencing a setback at the New York tournament.
Medvedev's unpredictability on the ATP Tour - and difficulties with his serve in specific - led to him exiting of the top ten and finally parting ways with long-time mentor Gilles Cervara.
Currently working with Johansson and Goetzke, the tennis star has consistently improved in the past month - culminating in a hard-fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 triumph over challenger Moutet.
It is the player's initial title after the Rome competition and first on a hardcourt from that period of 2023.
The win also means he has achieved twenty-one championships at 21 various competitions.
"It's the first time I have attended a tournament with my children simultaneously, so to win a trophy is really nice," said tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.
"This victory is in dedication of my child my daughter, because the first title I got when my child her name was delivered was for her."
The athlete, the 2021 US Open champion, had failed in his previous six championship matches, including in the German tournament earlier this year.
Medvedev's retrieving play style and recurring outbursts on court had prompted observers to question if his ability to play at the highest level was over.
Yet the 29-year-old has implemented adjustments in recent weeks, striving to come to the net and compete assertively, backed up by an better serve.
Medvedev fought back from a break down in the opening set against the tricky Moutet, securing 4 of the concluding five games to take the lead.
Both players swapped service breaks in the second set before Moutet, bidding for his maiden professional championship, took control to push for a third set.
The opponent saved 4 early opportunities in a competitive deciding set before the Russian won the break to 15 to secure the win.
Suitably, he earned the win with a shot at the net area, with his opponent incapable to handle a return after two hours and 38 minutes.
