Local Law Enforcement
Around fifty automobiles have been covered with what seems to be human blood in the Germany's town of Hanau close to Frankfurt, as reported by law enforcement.
Cars, walls and postal boxes were marked, in some cases with prohibited symbols, they announced in a statement.
Police say they were alerted during the night on Wednesday evening, when a man discovered that a automobile in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been smeared with a reddish-hued substance.
The fluid had been applied in the pattern of a banned symbol, they stated.
Law enforcement then found numerous other smeared vehicles and building exteriors in the surrounding area.
Swastikas are illegal in Germany under laws banning the public exhibition of Nazi symbols.
Law enforcement report preliminary tests show the liquid was probably human blood.
"There is still no lead as to its origin; investigators are not yet informed of any physical harm in association with the event," they stated.
Municipal representatives announced they were attempting "to resolve the incident" and have appealed to the community for details.
An important representative said the attack made him without words and had to be resolved rapidly.
"This act hits the very heart of Hanau and reawakens the trauma of the extremist violent incident half a decade ago," he stated on online, referring to the murder of nine individuals by a assailant targeting people of immigrant origin in February 2020.
